Stone Laboratory Research Brief - Renewable Energy Development: Aiding Public Officials in the Decision Making Process

July 29, 2015

In Ohio, county commissioners are faced with the difficult decision of approving or denying alternative energy zones in their community. This decision can generate millions of dollars in local tax revenue, but will alter the landscape of the community for decades.

On July 30, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ohio Stone Laboratory Research Brief we will review a a case study of an Ohio community that utilized a local survey to inform a wind energy outreach and engagement strategy. It will provide participants an overview of the project partnerships, outreach and engagement model, a summary of relevant survey findings, followed by a discussion on how this approach could be applied in other communities.
