A recent phone survey conducted by the National Resources Defense Council found that overall, Ohioans are favorable towards energy efficency. Some of the interesting findings from the study include:
- 61 percent in favor of the government setting minimum energy-efficiency standards for household products and appliances.
- 60 percent approval for Ohio's requiring electric utilities to help their customers use energy-efficiency technologies.
- 56 percent in favor of the federal government assisting businesses to convert to energy-efficient technologies.
