The Hamilton County Home Improvement Program (HIP) is an initiative that allows homeowners in participating Hamilton County communities to borrow money to repair or remodel homes or rental properties at interest rates 3% below the lowest rate normally offered by a bank (loans capped at $50,000).  Loan applicants are subject to credit approval from participating bank.  There are no income restrictions or limits on loan applicants.  For one-family, two-family and commercial properties, there is a property value limit of $350,000, and for multi-family dwellings (3 families or more), there is no property value limit.

Loans can be used for alteration, repair, maintenance, improvements, code-violation compliance and property upgrades. Please visit the program website for more details and participating communities.
