Dayton Power and Light offers several ways for residential customers to save money on energy efficient improvements.

Appliance Recycling: Dayton Power and Light will pick up your old working refrigerator and/or freezer and you will receive a $25.00 check.  For eligibility requirements, please visit the program webpage.

Heating and Cooling Rebates: Whether your system is broken and needs to be replaced or you want to upgrade to a higher efficiency system, DP&L can offset the cost by $200 to $600. When you purchase your new system, you will instantly receive the savings in the form of a credit shown on your contractor’s invoice. You do not need to complete any paperwork; The contractor will submit it for you and get reimbursed by DP&L. Customers are eligible for rebates on qualifying energy-efficient air conditioning and heat pump systems. For more details, please visit the program webpage.

Lighting Discounts: To help replace inefficient, incandescent bulbs, DP&L is offering an average of $1.30 off each compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) you buy, making it affordable.  Discounts are applied at the retailer.  For more details and a list of participating retailers, please visit the program webpage

Smart Energy Assistance Program: Customers who qualify for HEAP and PIPP may be eligible for DP&L\'s Smart Energy Community Program.
